There is an age old tradition some communities to purposefully include a mistake in all their handmade items to remind themselves that they are imperfect; to strive for their best selves, but to know they are not designed to be without fault and to remain humble.
Such a beautiful sentiment and so true. We can be so hard on ourselves, even when we are doing out best to be our best.
As I created a gift for a new mom and dad-to-be, I decided to be “purposefully imperfect” in a spot. See it?? Four double crochet when there should only be three.
I then penned (actually typed 😉 ) a pretty little poem, that I printed and added to the gift.
I am so happy with the outcome, I wanted to share with you. Simply click the link here and a PDF file with the poem card will download for you. From there, you can print as you like and add it to your handmade items as well.

Please enjoy and share as you wish, BUT instead of sharing the PDF, please share my page link, not the pdf, so each may download it directly. I would LOVE to be able to keep track of how many and from how far, my tag has reached. By you sharing the link and not the PDF, I am able to do this. <3
Much Love and Yarn,
