With all the Black Friday sales that, to my extreme delight, included so much fabulous yarn, I bet you’re sitting there…

…in a huge pile of yarn

…wondering what to make

…with a huge gift giving list yelling at you for attention

SO! Allow me to invite you to have a crochet quickie with us, courtesy of our guest designer Nichole Chapel. This chick can crochet!

Take a look at the One+One=Done Cowl. ONE ball of Hometown USA yarn (or 80 yards of any super buky for that matter) and ONE hour, and ONE beautiful cowl as a result.

And here is the lovely and talented Nicole modeling the cowl in Passion Purple, also Hometown USA.

The cowl literally takes less than an hour from start to finish. You can add in a contrast color as we did, or keep it all solid as Nichole did. Either way, this toasty cowl is sure to be a quickie you come back for again and again!

So, dig into those bags of yarn that are covering the couch (because…where is all this new yarn going to be stashed?!) and get one ball. Then in one hour, I’ll see you over at the FACEBOOK PAGE HERE! to show off your stashbustin’, gift givin’ cowls!

Y’ALL READY!!??

The Pattern Starts Here:

Materials:

– 81 yards super bulky yarn, shown: Hometown USA, or 81 yards of any super bulky yarn

– Size N (9.00m) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain gauge

***NOTE: Nichole is a very loose crocheter. She used a 9.00mm hook. I tend to be on the tighter side, and ended up using a 12.0mm hook to meet gauge! Checking gauge stinks but necessary, can you believe the difference in our tensions??)

Gauge:

While not critical for wear, you want to be at gauge to allow the use of only one ball of the Hometown USA.
