Due to the love for this little guy, I decided to share with you the super simple way he was made!
I used Ice Yarns Chenille Super Bulky in Salmon. If you sub in a regular bulky blanket yarn, you should double strand it so you get the thickness of what I used. Here is the link to the exact one shown: https://www.iceyarns.com/products/chenille-superbulky?variant=41215957991557
I used 18mm eyes by Darkside Crochet in the color Succubus. The exact ones are shown here: https://darksidecrochet.bigcartel.com/product/succubus They are sinker (round pupil) style.
I used an H(5mm) crochet hook, you may need to mark your sts as its easy to lose them in this fluffy yarn.
You will also need a little black yarn for the features, a tapestry needle, scissors, stuffing, and of course a clean Spam can if you want him to have a proper home.
In US crochet terms, ch: chain, sc: single crochet
Rnd 1: ch6, sc in 2nd ch from hook and nxt 3chs, in the last ch make 3sc all in the same ch, working in the rem loops up the other side of the beginning ch – sc in nxt 3chs, 2sc in the last ch. (12sc)
Rnd 2-4: sc in each around. (12)
Pause to insert the eyes: between round 2 and 3, centered as eyes would be on one side of the flat surface of the rectangle being formed.
Rnd 5-6: sc in each around, cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing after rnd 6. Stuff the little guy firmly. Using a tapestry needle flatten the piece so the eyes sit on one flat surface and he is a rectanlge, then sew the opening closed across a flattened round 6. Weave in ends.
Using black worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Shown) sew (2) angled straight stitches for eyebrows, a cheeky slant for the mouth, and then blush the cheeks if you wish. I used bright pink eyeshadow and my finger. Go sparingly, you can always add more.
I then took a length of black yarn and tied it in a circle around each eye to outline them. I knotted the ends together and wove them in. That’s it!
